545 PEOPLE

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.
Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?
Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?
You and I don't propose a federal budget. The president does.
You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.
You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does.
You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does.
You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.
One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.
I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913 Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.
I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a president to do one cotton-picking thing. I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he votes.
Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party. What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits. The president can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.
The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House? Nancy Pelosi. She is the leader of the majority party. She and fellow House members, not the president, can approve any budget they want. If the president vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.
It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.
If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair.
If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red.
If they do not receive Social Security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way.
Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation," or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.
Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.
They, and they alone, have the power.
They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses.

WHAT?
What is wrong with this picture?
This offends me to no ends and I don't see any reasoning that would change my mind. I believe that this is the real him. No matter what his words of praise for soldiers and veterans say this action speaks the real truth of his feelings for military and country. Actions speak louder than words. I never thought I would see this day. God help us.
OK I searhed and found a recent photo where he did salute. Am I wrong about him. I'll wait to see, maybe he has just gotten political advice. It would be nice if it was from the heart but who knows.
TRIAL FOR TERRORIST
So they are going to try the terrorist in Federal Court. I think this is stupid and dangerous on several counts. First of all they should not have a trail in the U.S. which is suppose to give them same rights as us citizens. They should not have the rights that we have since they are sworn enemies of the country.
If this is the case that they will be tried her in Federal Court, how in the world can the AG say that he guarantees a conviction. OK maybe he didn't guarantee in so many words but he was absolutely positive of conviction and execution.
How can he say such a thing? If by the AG and President they are already found guilty why the trial? If this can happen to the terrorist what says it can't also happen to you or me? Thing about this: Isn't this more like a dictatorship than a trial by jury that has the presumption of innocence until proven guilty? If the AG and President and a lot of the blindly following democratics can think this is ok, what is to prevent them from becoming judge and jury? Actually aren't they acting like that now on health care and other items like the take over of companies, banks, etc.
These are scary times for sure. Think about this and look at the climate they (the administration, congress and other left wingers) are producing. They want to run the government like a Union Local with authoritarian control.
I believe that most people in today's world do not know the difference between intellectualism and intelligentsia. Knowing how to speak and knowledge of many subjects does not make one intelligeant Intelligence comes from an unspoiled and uncorrupted common sense value. The courts and the government and especially the liberal colleges can not teach logic and common sense because it is part of the human condition. When confronted by liberal intelletuals I often think of the phrase in the Bible " The wisdom of man is but foolishness to God.

PUSHING THE LIBERAL AGENDA
Have you noticed that the administration and liberal democratic controlled Congress is pushing fast and hard to get their liberal agenda? The health care bill, the trail of terrorist in our courts, and many other often hidden items show their purpose and I believe they are doing it fast before anyone can react...knowing that there will be a reaction. Even their posture on the Ft. Hood terrorist. Of all the things discussed about him there was no mention of the Honor of the uniform. To me there has always been an honor to the uniform and anyone that was against Us or did not believe in the oath we take to have the privelge to wear the uniform should not be allowed to serve and wear the uniform. This should have been the guide for all those officers who was suppose to review this man's speeches and actions. Is this another case of Liberalism invading the armed service? Has the power of political correctness become a part of the armed services too? I think it has. God help us ...Please.
TODAY'S WORLD
Today's political climate and actions are really scary to me. It's times like this that I wish I could express myself better and have some impact on change. I'll have to let it up to the professional commentators and then vote to hopefully change things.
I'm not so sure anymore that one man one vote can have any effect for change. With the Electoral College and big political machines at work; is there really any chance for the one man one vote?

I believe that in the last 40 years that Academia with it's lack of common sense and radical liberal teachings has ruined many of normal clear thinking people. I believe that many of the professors are perverse and outcasts of regular society to the point that they have a hatred of normal society and find any and all reasons to rebel against the norms of our countries traditional values. They push ideals that have and always will be against what a normal common sense mind knows to be right.
When as a society we pushed these types of people into lower paying teaching jobs and political jobs, because we did not want to associate with them in normal industrial production jobs, we didn't realize the harm that they could do. Since our country has changed from a heavy industrial nation to more of a technical and academic society THEY now have too much influence and power.
Some way or another we have to elect people to government that have not been over educated and lost their common sense. We have to lobby and protest to have professors and teachers hired that do not promote and preach anarchy, and teach values that are against or core values.
I realize even as writing this that I sound like a right winger, but if so I am in order to try to create a balance. The whole American thing is to have balance.
Too conservative is corrupting and too liberal is also corrupting. I believe that this was a quote by Gertrude Stein. Where are the free thinkers of this age? And when did free thinker become someone who thinks the opposite of what is known to be correct and good?
OK so now I vented some and I feel better, but I still have the desire to do more, for I feel that evil is being said to be good and good is being said to be evil. This has to be addressed.

Losing eye sight
ARMD
Age-Related Macular Degeneration Is something I am dealing with and trying to starve it off as long as I can. Here's a site to explain what is happening to me. Eye Institute The Photo on the bottom is similar to the vision I have in my left eye, but I also had a torn retina back in the 60's My right is has a few blind spots that act like distortions and makes it hard to read. It's frustrating to say the least but I am thankful for the vision I do have and now with both cataracts taken off I feel pretty good. I take good eye vitamins and now try to wear my glasses all the time to protect my eyes from UV which is said to promote the ARMD. Smoking all those year ago (I quit 20 years ago) did a lot of damage also. It seems that smoking is link to the disease.
Well the point I want to make here is although I can not spell very good, thank God for spell check and I miss things because of the bad vision , I still want to write and express myself. To have a passion to write or anything for that matter and to not go for it is wrong. Limited as I may be in grammar etc. I won't let that stop me from the desire to communicate. Many of you that know me know also I like to talk. I don't think that I have to rule the whole conversation and in fact I think I am a pretty good listener. Well maybe a fair listener. So here I am writing and sharing and venting. I hope that some of what I shared here about eye health will help someone and maybe encourage someone to have their eyes checked. It's a wonderful colorful world out there that God has created and more and more I stop and stare at the trees, animals, clouds. and people at how wonderful and marvelous they are all created.
Choice?
We know that the Democratic Party stands for choice when it comes to abortion but where does it stand on other Choice issues. Because I never hear any democrat or liberal politician speak up against some of the issue of today: like displaying the flag, displaying the cross, school or public prayer I assume that they side with and support organizations like the ACLU and other such left wingers. I don't like to think that every Democrat supports such "political correctness" kind of issues, but since they align themselves with the left that makes them supporters in my mind. Recent item of concern to me Flag decal on fireman's locker. This is unbelievable but it is getting harder and harder to let these things upset me, and maybe you. Is someone trying to harden our sensibilities? If not on purpose it is still doing it. I worry about the younger generation that they will become immune to the sabotage of our rights and ways that they will not recognize that their freedoms are historic foundational ways are gone. I hope I don't get in trouble for waving the flag at the top of this post. Someday it maybe an offense to do so.
Fox News and the Administration
Fox News and the Administration is in the news lately and has been a subject for quite a while. I don't know if it's just me
,but this is so out of place in America that it is hard for me think that it is actually happening. Isn't it scary when the President
tries to influence other news outlets and the people against one news organization just because it challenges him and his
policies? When or where in American history has a President or Administration gone so far out as to try to censor a single
news corporation? This is the tactic of dictators and the like and has happened in countries we all can recall from history.
I am counting this as one of the signs that often leads to loss of freedoms and the government doing everything for you
including thinking. If this doesn't alarm you, well then maybe I am just over reacting. This is me and this is the way I see it

First Posting
I have two other blogs, one about Navy Photographers and the other about my old High School. I have found that a lot of my everyday thoughts, concerns, photographs, etc. don't fit into either one of those blogs so I started this one to voice my opinions, jokes, movies, and frustrations. So is anyone listening? If so I guess this may be a test of my freedom of speech. I do not set out to argue (I hate arguments) or to offend any person, party, religion, race or any company or institution. I only wish to vent and share and hope that in so doing awareness happens and maybe change that can help people. After all if it isn't about people than what is it about?
